Job Description

The National Telephone Co-op Association is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Telecommunications Operations Director to lead our Wholesale Carrier Services team. This role requires a proven ability to manage day-to-day operations, drive operational excellence, and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

About the Role

  • Manage daily activities of the wholesale carrier services team, including project management, order fulfillment, provisioning, service assurance, and customer support.
  • Set clear performance goals for the team and monitor individual and team performance.
  • Develop and implement process improvements and workflows to enhance operational efficiency and improve service delivery.

Responsibilities

  1. Team Performance: Set clear performance goals for the team and provide regular feedback and coaching.
  2. Project Management: Establish and maintain project schedules, consistent project cadence, and ensure high project performance.
  3. Service Assurance: Manage service level agreements (SLAs) with carrier partners and ensure compliance and meeting performance targets.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in managing and leading high-performing teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, OSS/BSS systems, and project management software.
  • Strong knowledge of telecommunication technologies, standards, and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
