Mortgage Credit Analyst

A Mortgage Underwriter is responsible for ensuring loan applications are processed accurately and in compliance with industry guidelines. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in mortgage underwriting, a strong understanding of residential mortgages, and excellent analytical and communication skills.

• Analyze loan files to ensure compliance with company and investor guidelines.
• Underwrite entire credit packages and collateral for residential mortgage loans.
• Verify accuracy of calculations and data integrity.
• Provide guideline interpretations and support to processors, loan officers, and team members.

• Minimum 10 years of mortgage underwriting experience required.
• Strong knowledge of home loans, including conventional, VA, FHA, and USDA loans.
• Proficiency in automated underwriting systems and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent decision-making and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in business or a related field required.
