The job of a Facilitator in Farmer Field Schools and Business Schools is a challenging yet rewarding position that requires strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Key responsibilities include establishing and maintaining high-quality Farmers' Schools, coordinating with partner organizations to set up these schools, facilitating the participation of beneficiaries in capacity building programs through exchange visits and study tours, and providing timely and accurate reports on progress and achievements.

Main goals include facilitating the establishment and effective functioning of FFS-FBS pertaining to low water use agriculture and livestock farming for communal schemes in selected watersheds, participating in capacity building events/trainings on Farmers' Schools (FFS, FBS, FCS, and GWMS), promoting gender-sensitive approaches and inclusivity in the training and implementation process, identifying and developing case studies and success stories for periodic reports, and supporting the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) Team.

Other key tasks involve facilitating the Training of Farmer Facilitators (ToFF), providing continuous backstopping to the Farmer Facilitator, coordinating related project activities for networking of farmers and livestock keepers, awareness creation and knowledge management through established Farmers' Schools (FFS, FBS, FCS, and GWMS), and mobilizing field level activities related to the formation and facilitation of Farmers' Schools (FFS, FBS, FCS, and GWMS) in target villages.

To be successful in this role, candidates should have a university degree in agriculture, livestock, forest, agribusiness, natural sciences, or a related field, at least 03 years of experience as a Farmer Field School (FFS) Facilitator, working knowledge of English, and proficiency in local languages used in the region. Key skills include practical knowledge of farmers' Capacity Building & Community organization skills, proficiency in basic computer skills, ability to work in multicultural and multi-ethnic environments, good knowledge of common administrative and financial rules, and communication standards.
