Role Summary

This position is responsible for designing fiber optic networks, ensuring that they meet the required standards and are constructed efficiently. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of fiber optic design principles, GIS/CAD software, and project coordination skills.

Main Responsibilities

  • Create preliminary route designs and provide initial cost estimates based on proposed routes.
  • Coordinate with field teams to schedule site visits and gather data.
  • Design detailed OSP layouts adhering to company standards.
  • Develop and prepare documentation for construction projects.
  • Maintain quality control standards and process revision requests.
  • Meet service level agreements for designated areas.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Familiarity with FTTH, Metro-E, and FTTX network architectures.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in related field or construction roles.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction prints.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Smartsheet, and AutoCAD.
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments.
  • Self-motivation, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Clear communication of complex ideas to colleagues.
