Job Title: Automation Specialist

We are seeking an Automation Specialist to join our team. This role will involve ensuring the overall health, performance, and capacity of our production environment.

The successful candidate will design and implement systems for operating our business, emphasizing automation and maintainability at large scale. They will build and optimize large CI/CD pipelines using industry-standard tools such as Github Actions & Jenkins.

This position requires collaboration with development teams on operational issues, providing support and acting as a stakeholder. The Automation Specialist will maintain production-like environments for development and testing to ensure fast and reliable deployment experiences.

They will also develop monitoring tools for custom applications in a large-scale environment and troubleshoot issues across hardware, software, application, and network layers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the overall health, performance, efficiency, and capacity of our production environment.
  • Design and implement systems for operating our business, emphasizing automation and maintainability at large scale.
  • Build and optimize large CI/CD pipelines using industry-standard tools such as Github Actions & Jenkins.
  • Maintain production-like environments for development and testing to ensure fast and reliable deployment experiences.
  • Develop monitoring tools for custom applications in a large-scale environment.
  • Troubleshoot issues across hardware, software, application, and network layers.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with significant DevOps experience.
  • AWS Solutions Architect certification.
  • 5+ years supporting hosted services in high-volume, customer-facing environments.
  • Experience with DevOps tools, processes, culture, and supporting mission-critical distributed systems.
  • Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Github Actions.
  • Programming skills in high-level languages such as Go, Ruby, Python, or Bash.
