Cloud Engineer Job Description

This job posting is for a cloud engineer position. The ideal candidate will have experience with cloud infrastructure, automation tools, and software development.

  • Responsible for designing, building, and managing cloud-based systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure, including but not limited to: Linux, Networking, and Load Balancing.
  • Work collaboratively with the development team to create and deploy CI/CD pipelines.
  • Develop and implement environments for quality assurance, development, etc.
  • Deploy and support applications in a cloud environment.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 6-10 years of experience in a related field.
  • Strong experience in administration of cloud-hosted environments on at least one popular cloud IAAS platform (e.g. Azure, AWS).
  • DevOps - familiarity with DevOps practices and automation tooling.
  • Hands-on expertise on Microsoft products (e.g. TFS, TeamCity).
  • Virtualization - facility with techniques used to virtualize servers, applications, and desktops.
  • Must have hands-on working with automation tools (e.g. Ansible, Chef).
  • Experience with infrastructure tools like Terraform and Cloud Formation.
  • Experience with CI/CD toolchain (Kubernetes).
  • Basic level scripting experience (Python, Ruby, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Experience with Linux distributions (Rhel 8, CentOS, Ubuntu, Amazon Linux).

Flexible attitude and versatile personality are a must for this role.
