Key Role in Cloud Engineering:

A skilled cloud engineer is required to oversee and optimize the AWS environment, ensuring adherence to security and compliance standards.

The successful candidate will bring hands-on expertise in EKS, networking, security, automation, and container orchestration, with a strong understanding of microservice architecture.

  • Primary Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure within the cloud environment, including VPCs, subnets, routing, security groups, and NACLs.
  • Integrate and manage firewall solutions within cloud and hybrid environments.
  • Configure and maintain DNS, load balancing, API Gateway, and CloudFront services for application delivery.
  • Implement compliance controls based on established policies related to PCI DSS and other regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and manage infrastructure as code through Terraform or Pulumi.
  • Collaborate with security, compliance, and product teams for thorough documentation and adherence to regulations.
  • Provide technical support during business hours and participate in on-call rotation as required.
  • Monitor cloud environments for performance, availability, security, and cost efficiency using Grafana.
  • Support containerised application deployments using Kubernetes and EKS, aligning with microservice architecture principles.
  • Manage identity and access management policies to enforce secure access across AWS resources.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience with Kubernetes/EKS and microservice-based application deployment.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the financial sector.
  • Proven experience with AWS cloud services, focusing on operational excellence, networking, and security.
  • Familiarity with firewall technologies and cloud security integrations.
  • Hands-on experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.
  • Knowledge of PCI DSS compliance requirements and their implementation in cloud environments.
