Job Description:

The Principal will be responsible for leading the school team to achieve academic excellence by implementing evidence-based learning strategies and monitoring progress across key performance indicators.

  1. Promote high standards of teaching and learning by supporting teachers in developing their skills and knowledge.
  2. Develop a culture of mutual respect, collaboration, and continuous learning among teachers, students, and staff.
  3. Recruit and retain high-quality teachers through effective selection processes and training programs.
  4. Develop and implement school improvement plans based on need analysis and ensure their timely implementation.
  5. Monitor classroom quality through lesson planners and formal/informal observations.
  6. Work with teachers to improve their quality through demo sessions and regular feedback.
  7. Monitor student performance by re-checking student copies and test papers as per policy.
  8. Organize and manage co-curricular activities, timetables, assemblies, displays, library, and laboratories.
  9. Attend training sessions and conduct on-the-job training for faculty within the school.
  10. Conduct term tests and examinations in a transparent and timely manner.
  11. Build team spirit and motivate teachers to focus on teacher retention.
  12. Develop strong relationships with the community and create awareness about education for both male and female children.
  13. Ensure required student strength is maintained within the school through effective enrolment strategies.
  14. Carry out effective outreach of teachers and maintain a CV bank at all times.
  15. Coordinate with Area and Regional HR teams for staff hiring, retaining, performance management, and other HR matters.
  16. Maintain school discipline and encourage positive character building among students and staff.
  17. Manage staff leaves and attendance to minimize empty classroom days.
  18. Supervise the admin assistant in accounts and other matters.
  19. Maintain accurate and up-to-date school accounts.
  20. Ensure maintenance of school buildings and premises.
  21. Supply and manage utility services in a timely manner.
  22. Implement TCF policies and ensure school activities are carried out as per policy.
  23. Submit timely reports and documents.
  24. Coordinate with the supervisor for board-related matters.
