Marketing and Communications Associate Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Marketing and Communications professional to support our marketing efforts.

The ideal candidate will create engaging content, manage social media, and assist in PR activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Content Creation & Management:

    • Develop content for social media, newsletters, website, and marketing materials.
  2. Write stories, donor communications, and case studies from patient experiences.
  3. Collaborate with the creative team to ensure high-quality content.

  4. Social Media & Digital Marketing:

    • Schedule and publish social media posts.
  5. Monitor engagement and build an active online community.
  6. Track social media performance and provide reports.

  7. Public Relations (PR) & Communications:

    • Draft press releases and media pitches.
  8. Build relationships with journalists and media contacts.
  9. Support event planning, including fundraising galas, awareness events, and PR campaigns.
  10. Coordinate internal communications.

  11. Marketing Coordination & Campaigns:

    • Assist in executing marketing campaigns.
  12. Coordinate with program teams.
  13. Work with website developers to update content.
  14. Support fundraising and donor communication efforts.

  15. Market Research & Analytics:

    • Conduct research on industry trends and audience preferences.
  16. Gather data from social media and marketing campaigns.
  17. Provide reports and insights.

  18. Administrative & Team Support:

    • Maintain marketing assets and databases.
  19. Assist in scheduling meetings and preparing presentations.
  20. Support day-to-day marketing activities.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.

1-2 years of experience in marketing, PR, content creation, or social media management.

Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.

Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing tools.

Basic understanding of SEO, PR strategies, and digital marketing concepts.

Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in nonprofit marketing, fundraising communication, or public health campaigns.

Familiarity with content management systems.

Basic knowledge of design tools.

Experience in media relations or event coordination.
