Senior Risk Management Specialist

Are you looking for a challenging role that requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills?

In this position, you will be responsible for conducting complex audits and assessments of our risk and control environment. You will work closely with the audit team and key stakeholders across lines of defense to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of our internal controls.

This is an intermediate level role that requires 3+ years of relevant experience in internal audit or a related field. You should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as good project management skills.

You will be expected to participate in all phases of the project lifecycle, including planning, fieldwork, and reporting. You will also be responsible for monitoring, assessing, and recommending solutions to address emerging risks to our businesses and the Firm.

We are looking for someone who is able to operate with a limited level of direct supervision and can exercise independent judgment. You should have a strong understanding of internal audit standards, firm policies, business and market knowledge, and be able to apply this knowledge to provide quality assurance and influence audit scope/team direction.

This role offers the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in risk management and internal audit, and to contribute to the development of audit processes improvements, including the development of automated testing and the incorporation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into our work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct complex audits and assessments of our risk and control environment.
  • Participate in all phases of the project lifecycle, including planning, fieldwork, and reporting.
  • Monitor, assess, and recommend solutions to address emerging risks to our businesses and the Firm.
  • Develop and implement audit processes improvements, including the development of automated testing and the incorporation of AI into our work.


Requirements:
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in internal audit or a related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good project management skills.
  • Ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
  • Strong understanding of internal audit standards, firm policies, business and market knowledge.
  • Experience with analytics tools such as Alteryx is a plus.


Education:
  • Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience.
