As a web content manager, you will oversee the creation and maintenance of website content.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the company CMS, collaborating with developers and editors to ensure it meets organisational needs.
  • Conduct content audits to identify gaps and redundancies in site content.
  • Create and implement content schedules for producing or updating content.
  • Develop policies relating to web content, such as a house style.
  • Analyse analytics data to learn how users interact with the site.
  • Survey users and hold focus groups to gain insights into user experience.
  • Train staff in writing and producing web content.
  • Stay knowledgeable about the site's subject area.
Job Requirements:

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all necessary content is included on the website and is laid out in a way that suits the user. They will also keep everything up to date and accurate. The content managed can include web pages, images, videos, blog posts, guest articles, reviews and occasionally social media and marketing copy.

Occasionally, the writer will produce copy and edit the site themselves, but on larger sites they will normally act as a coordinator, commissioner and project manager, overseeing the work of other writers and editors.
