Job Description

The role of a Network Mapping Specialist involves utilizing cutting-edge tools like Vetro.io to map fiber optic cables, splice points, and network routes. This requires attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, as-builts, and field sketches to create accurate digital network layouts.

As a key member of the team, you will collaborate with network engineers and project managers to ensure data accuracy and maintain organized records of layout plans, updates, and fiber path documentation. Your expertise in quality checks on fiber strand routing and data layers will be crucial in delivering timely updates and reports as per project milestones.

  • Use Vetro.io to create and update cable layouts, network plans, and spatial data that telecom companies rely on for real-world infrastructure projects.
  • Interpret complex technical documents to inform network planning decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  • Maintain detailed records of network layouts, updates, and fiber path documentation.
RequirementsBachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience

A bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, GIS, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is required. Alternatively, relevant experience in a similar field may be considered.

  • Familiarity with fiber optic planning tools or GIS platforms (e.g., Vetro.io, ArcGIS, QGIS).
  • Understanding of network topologies (ring, star, point-to-point) and cable routing logic.
  • Proficiency with mapping tools, Excel, and data entry.
  • Strong spatial reasoning and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
