Regional Education Director Job Description

The Regional Education Director plays a pivotal role in driving academic excellence and leadership within schools across their designated region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Academic Leadership: Responsible for enhancing student outcomes, improving teacher quality, and managing day-to-day operations.
  • Community Engagement: Foster communication with local communities, encourage Principals to maintain strong relationships with parents, and collaborate with donors on education initiatives.
  • Cohort Development: Strengthen the Principal cohort through regular feedback, collaboration with the RHR Manager, and PQI visits to enhance academic performance.
  • Teacher Quality Enhancement: Enhance Teacher quality by focusing on content and pedagogy, approving transfers and promotions, and implementing strategies to improve teaching standards.
  • School Improvement: Develop action plans for underperforming schools, implement targeted interventions, and monitor progress to ensure improvement.

Requirements:

  • Effective communication, negotiation, persuasion, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong command of English and Urdu languages
  • Proficiency in computer use (Microsoft Office, Internet, etc.)
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
