We are seeking a highly motivated Development Team Lead who will specialize in property acquisition and play a pivotal role in expanding our portfolio of sites for churches and gas stations, catering to both our company and our customers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for initiating and managing discussions with brokers and property owners to secure new properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Development Team: Manage the development team who handle site analysis of our c-store sites, Quick service restaurants (Church's TX Chicken), large pieces of land for truck-stop developments/metal recycling plants, etc.
  • Broker Engagement: Initiate and maintain relationships with real estate brokers specializing in commercial properties. Communicate our specific requirements for church and gas station sites and collaborate with brokers to identify suitable properties.
  • Property Identification and Evaluation: Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify potential properties that align with our criteria and expansion goals. Present findings and recommendations to the development team for further consideration.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for proactively reaching out to property owners to explore potential acquisition opportunities. Building rapport and establishing trust with property owners will facilitate negotiations and secure favorable deals. Additionally, they will coordinate the preparation and review of legal documents, ensure all necessary due diligence procedures are conducted, and facilitate the smooth transition of acquired properties to the appropriate departments within the organization.

Job Skills and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in civil works Engineering, Supply Chain, and/or Finance and relevant experience of 5 to 10 years is desirable.
  • Familiarity with development projects handling will be a plus.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and create detailed reports.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Proven experience in speaking and negotiating with brokers and landowners.
  • Ability to develop and implement action plans based on data analysis.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
