Conservation Specialist

Job Description

• We are seeking a skilled Preservation Architect to preserve and restore historic buildings and structures in Faisalabad, Pakistan.
• You will conduct research, prepare preservation plans, and oversee restoration projects.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Conduct thorough research to determine the historical significance of buildings and structures.
2. Prepare detailed preservation plans that adhere to local regulations and guidelines.
3. Collaborate with engineers and construction teams to ensure preservation work is done accurately.
4. Oversee restoration projects from start to finish, ensuring all work is completed on time and within budget.
5. Inspect buildings and structures for damage or deterioration, making recommendations for necessary repairs.
6. Work closely with local authorities and communities to ensure preservation efforts are supported.
7. Provide guidance and support to junior staff members working on preservation projects.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years experience working as a Preservation Architect.
• Strong knowledge of historical preservation principles, techniques, and materials.
• Experience preparing preservation plans and overseeing restoration projects.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to conduct thorough research and write detailed reports on historical buildings and structures.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or other design software is preferred.
