Job Overview

The Senior Network Engineer will oversee the configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Cisco networks to ensure seamless connectivity and robust security.

Key responsibilities include configuring and maintaining Cisco network devices, such as routers, switches, and firewalls. This involves implementing Fortinet firewalls, managing traffic filtering, VPNs, and intrusion prevention systems. The successful candidate will also be responsible for monitoring network performance and responding to issues in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:
  • Configure and maintain Cisco network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Implement and manage Fortinet firewalls, including traffic filtering, VPNs, and intrusion prevention systems.
  • Monitor network performance and respond to issues in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of network diagrams, configurations, and incident reports.

A strong understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, routing, and security principles is essential for this role. Additionally, experience with backup and restoration procedures for critical devices, including routers, switches, DHCP, and Wi-Fi controllers, is highly valued.

Required skills and qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field. Relevant certifications, such as Cisco CCNA (or higher), Fortinet NSE, or equivalent, are also preferred. At least 2+ years of experience in network administration, hands-on experience with Cisco switches and Fortinet firewalls, and SD-WAN knowledge are required. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are also essential for this role.
