Job Title: Lead Auditor - Food

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct food safety audits to ensure quality control among foods of all types.
  • Perform audits in line with the Bureau Veritas Quality Assurance System, including the BV Code of Ethics and the BV Group policy.

Accountabilities:

  1. Develop and implement audit plans and coordinate with clients as per shared agendas.
  2. Maintain adherence to all food safety standards/protocols/codes of conduct.
  3. Use updated audit packs (checklists, forms, and tools) for conducting audits.
  4. Foster positive client relationships and respond to all client inquiries and concerns.
  5. Submit complete and accurate audit reports within established timelines to reviewing channels.
  6. Address all defects, concerns, and queries raised by reviewing channels in a timely manner.
  7. Develop competency to maintain qualification to conduct audits.
  8. Develop competency assessment packs to achieve maximum possible EA/NACE/Industrial/Service codes.
  9. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of latest versions of applicable laws, regulations, statutory requirements, and standards.

Alleviating time-barred cases
NC closure within timeline
Report submission within timeline

Technical Competencies:
The following competencies are required:

• A university degree in food-related disciplines, such as biological sciences, food science, nutrition, agriculture, agribusiness, engineering, chemistry, or related fields.

• Knowledge of FSMS, HACCP, HALAL, FSSC, GG is an added advantage.

• Minimum of 3-4 years' experience related to the food and/or agricultural industries, including quality assurance, food safety functions, auditing, and/or farm management.

• Familiarity with the third-party certification process.

• Strong communication and customer service skills.

• Well-developed organizational and time management skills.

• Strong computer skills, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Database systems.

• Willingness to travel up to 75%, mostly overnight travel throughout Pakistan.
