Visual Communications Specialist

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in visual communication and branding, significantly enhancing the team's ability to create effective and engaging collateral. In addition, the successful incumbent must enable the team to think innovatively and approach design aspects of communication with creativity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Creative Visuals: Design various materials including publications, social media, websites, and print while adhering to corporate brand guidelines.
  • Craft Key Visuals: Enhance campaigns by collaborating with the team to ensure consistency of design execution across mediums.
  • Braintstorm and Ideate: Actively contribute to crafting creative content and collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute creative campaigns.
  • Translate Design Needs: Have an in-depth understanding of design requirements for each task and translate them visually, supporting internal stakeholders with design needs.
  • Oversee Day-to-Day Tasks: Lead day-to-day creative and design-related tasks, creating compelling logos, designs, print, and digital media.
  • Lead Team Members: Guide relevant team members' concepts to completion, providing critical feedback on all creative content.
  • Liaise with Partners: Collaborate with outsourced partners, vendors, and service providers to ensure quality creative work required by the organization.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Design: Must have a bachelor's degree in design from a reputable university.
  • Experience: Should have at least 7-10 years of relevant experience preferably as a designer in a creative agency setting.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Aesthetic Sense: Candidate must have a refined aesthetic sense, awareness of current digital trends, and a strong command on design software such as Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign.
  • Design Principles: Strong understanding of design principles, typography, and color theory.
