District Development Officer: Implementing Effective Family Planning Projects

The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in Social Sciences or a related field from a reputable institution, along with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Family Planning and Maternal Child Health projects.

They should have proven project implementation, coordination, and supervision skills, as well as the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Additionally, they should be willing to travel within and outside their assigned district as required.

Main Responsibilities
  • Project Coordination:
    • Work closely with the District Cluster Coordinator to ensure effective project implementation at the district level.
    • Develop and share work plans/activity calendars with partner organizations and relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Training and Support:
  • Collaborate with partner organizations to develop training rollout plans for Community Resource Persons and Lady Health Workers.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the field team for effective project implementation.
Reporting and Monitoring:
  • Prepare comprehensive monthly activity reports and submit them to partners and stakeholders on time.
  • Conduct regular field monitoring visits to ensure project activities are being implemented effectively.
Communication and Collaboration:
  • Participate in relevant Family Planning/Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health program updates, meetings, and forums.
  • Ensure quality implementation and provide technical assistance to field teams as needed.
