Social Development Specialist

The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong background in social sciences and excellent project implementation skills. The position involves coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of project activities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the district cluster coordinator to implement project activities effectively;
  • Develop work plans and activity calendars with partner organizations and relevant stakeholders;
  • Create training plans for community resource persons and lady health workers in consultation with partners;
  • Compile comprehensive monthly reports on project activities and submit them to stakeholders;
  • Provide technical support to field teams for effective project implementation;
  • Conduct regular field visits to monitor project progress and provide guidance to the social mobilization team;
  • Participate in family planning, maternal, newborn, and child health program updates, meetings, and forums;
  • Evaluate project quality, identify areas for improvement, and provide technical assistance to field teams;
  • Perform other tasks assigned by the project manager.

Required Competencies:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and local languages.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
