US Market Supply Chain Specialist

Our organization seeks a seasoned Supply Chain Manager to oversee the optimization of supply chain operations for our diverse portfolio of retail, restaurant, and fuel distribution businesses across the United States. This role requires a hands-on, data-driven leader with extensive experience in procurement, vendor management, inventory control, and logistics.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain strategy aligned with the needs of our diverse portfolio of retail, restaurant, and fuel distribution businesses.
  2. Forecast demand and supply needs for multiple business units with varying inventory and sourcing requirements.
  3. Ensure alignment of supply chain goals with business growth and customer satisfaction targets.
  4. SOURCE AND NEGOTIATE WITH SUPPLIERS FOR FOOD PRODUCTS, FUEL, MERCHANDISE, PACKAGING, AND OTHER STORE/RESTAURANT ESSENTIALS.
  5. Establish and maintain long-term relationships with national and regional vendors to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and timely delivery.
  6. Monitor supplier performance using key metrics (e.g., fill rate, delivery times, quality issues).

Inventory Optimization Strategies:

  • Develop and implement inventory planning and control systems to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
  • Utilize technology to manage real-time inventory tracking across all store types.
  • Ensure freshness and compliance with expiration timelines, particularly for perishable food and fuel products.

Logistics and Distribution Operations:

  • Manage inbound and outbound logistics, including last-mile delivery to stores and restaurants.
  • Optimize warehouse and distribution center operations (internal or third-party).
  • Coordinate with transportation partners to ensure cost-effective and timely deliveries.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Partner with store operations, marketing, and finance teams to align on promotions, seasonal trends, and demand forecasting.
  • Support new store openings and site transitions with supply planning and vendor setup.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for operational disruptions affecting product availability.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of progressive experience in supply chain, preferably within convenience retail, QSR, fuel distribution, or grocery.
  • Proven track record of cost reduction, process improvement, and vendor relationship management.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and forecasting capabilities.
  • Proficiency in supply chain software (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, or similar).
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Understanding of compliance, food safety standards, and fuel regulatory requirements.
