Electrical Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled electrical engineer to design, implement, and oversee electrical systems for solar energy projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in solar PV systems, electrical design, and project management. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of solar installations, from concept to completion.

  • Design and Implement Electrical Systems: Develop and review electrical designs, schematics, and layouts for solar PV systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and local regulations.
  • Project Management: Oversee the electrical aspects of solar projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and coordination with other teams to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
  • System Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate solar systems with existing electrical infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation and safety.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support during the installation, commissioning, and operation of solar PV systems.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure all electrical work adheres to safety protocols, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct site inspections and testing to verify system performance and quality, addressing any issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, including technical reports, project records, and as-built drawings.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Experience: 4-5 years of experience in the solar industry, with a focus on solar PV system design, installation, and maintenance.

Skills: Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, PVsyst) and knowledge of relevant codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEC). Strong understanding of grid-tied and off-grid solar systems, inverters, and energy storage solutions. Experience with project management tools and techniques. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
