Job Title: Construction Estimator

As a professional estimator, you will be responsible for preparing thorough cost analyses and pricing details for commercial projects. Your primary goal will be to provide accurate estimates that meet client needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate project plans and specifications to determine material and labor requirements for custom fencing projects.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and company procedures for accurate cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop bids and proposals that meet client expectations.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members to gather information and answer questions about the estimate.
  • Maintain accurate records of estimates and bid proposals.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and changes in building codes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil or structural engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a construction estimator, preferably with direct experience in the fencing industry.
  • Strong understanding of construction materials and methods, preferably related to fencing projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Workspace.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with computer-aided design (CAD), Bluebeam and Planswift.
  • Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
  • Familiarity with project management software.
