This role involves supporting quality assurance within squads at Careem. The ideal candidate will be passionate, creative, and have exceptional testing ideas.

  • Deliver accurate testing based on functional, technical, and design specifications.
  • Provide reliable testing estimates for project planning and timelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on test scope and approach.
  • Execute, evaluate, and maintain manual and automated test cases, documenting and reporting results.
  • Facilitate effective bug triage meetings to prioritize and resolve defects promptly.
  • Participate in root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
  • Validate deliverables against customer requirements and quality expectations.
  • Contribute to sprint ceremonies and agile processes to ensure early QA involvement.

The ideal candidate should have:

  • A degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 0-2.5 years of hands-on experience in software testing and quality assurance.
  • ISTQB - CTFL certification preferred.
