Business Tax Advisory Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our Business Tax Advisory team as an Assistant Manager.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate tax, ideally within a large professional services company or similar environment. They will be responsible for delivering efficient and effective resources to companies in the region, helping them structure transactions and operations in a tax-effective manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare tax research memos and tax advisory reports to assist clients with local state tax return preparation and attend meetings with the local Tax Authority on client-related tax matters.
  2. Establish and maintain valued internal and external relationships to ensure that the services delivered to clients are of the highest quality.
  3. Supervise day-to-day client engagements, monitor progress and deliverables, and put in place standardized processes to anticipate and identify risks.
  4. Support marketing and business development initiatives to grow our BTA client base in the region and build a positive learning culture by coaching and counseling junior team members.
  5. Ensure adherence to our Tax Quality guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with strong academic credentials in accounting, business, finance, law, taxation, or any related field.
  • CA, ACCA, ICMA, LLB, LLM, Masters, or another related advanced degree and/or professional qualification, or an equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in corporate tax, ideally within a large professional services company or similar environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience dealing with multinational clients and ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Excellent analytical and supervisory skills.
  • Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
