Job Overview

This role plays a vital part in the organization's communication and advocacy efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective communication strategies, conducting research, and representing the organization at various forums.

About the Role

The Advocacy & Communication Officer is a key position that requires strong writing, editing, and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have a master's degree in a relevant field and at least 2-3 years of experience in a similar capacity.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Communication Strategy Development: Develop and implement effective communication strategies to promote the organization's work and values.
  2. Research and Documentation: Conduct research on public health issues and document findings in briefs, papers, or reports.
  3. Program/Project Support: Assist in planning, implementation, coordination, monitoring, and reporting of program/project activities.
  4. Representation and Networking: Represent the organization at advocacy working groups, meetings, workshops, seminars, training, and briefing sessions.
Requirements
  • Masters in a relevant field from a reputable national or international university.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in a similar capacity.
  • Exceptional writing and strong communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in computer use, especially MS Office.
  • Energetic, team-oriented, with a willingness to learn and develop professionally.
  • Strong work ethics and values.
Benefits
