As a Senior Application Security Engineer, you'll be part of our team of security experts who work together to ensure that our software is secure and reliable. You'll analyze our applications from a security perspective, identify potential issues, and suggest improvements to our development teams.
Your core responsibility will be to guide and support our developer teams in delivering secure solutions. You'll provide training and workshops on secure coding practices, security testing, and working with security tools. You'll also validate that our application security requirements have been met and perform regular security code reviews.
You'll work closely with our customer-facing development teams and operations teams to ensure that our software meets the highest security standards. If you have a hacker mindset, are passionate about security, and enjoy extending your knowledge, then this is the perfect role for you.
To succeed in this position, you'll need:
- A good understanding of application security and common vulnerabilities;
- Expertise in one or more areas such as frontend, backend, or mobile security;
- Knowledge of DevOps and cloud native technologies;
- A successful track record in identifying and resolving application security issues;
- A background in development and a good understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC);
- English language skills on a professional level, both written and spoken.
We're looking for someone who can bring experience in topics like threat modeling, pen testing, and training developers on application security concepts. Relevant regulations such as GDPR and PCI-DSS are also a plus.
