We are seeking an accomplished Video Editor and Animator to assemble recorded footage into a polished project that aligns with the director's vision and meets broadcasting standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Edit film pieces seamlessly, invisible to the audience
  • Understand production team needs by grasping brief requirements
  • Analyze shooting scripts and raw materials to create a shot decision list based on scenes' value and continuity contribution
  • Trim footage segments and arrange the sequence of the film
  • Add music, dialogues, graphics, and effects
  • Create rough and final cuts
  • E nsure logical sequencing and smooth running
  • Collaborate with stakeholders from production to post-production
  • Stay up-to-date with new editing technologies and industry best practices to optimize efficiency
Essential Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Video Editor and Animator
  • Familiarity with digital technology and popular editing software packages (e.g. Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, AfterEffects, and Final Cut)
  • Demonstrated video editing ability with a strong portfolio
  • In-depth knowledge of timing, motivation, and continuity
  • Awareness of special effects, 3D, and compositing
  • Creative thinking and storytelling skills
  • BS degree in film studies, cinematography, or related field

As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assembling recorded footage into a cohesive and engaging visual narrative. This involves a range of tasks, including editing film pieces to ensure seamless transitions and invisible cuts, understanding the needs of the production team and stakeholders, and collaborating with colleagues to bring the project to life. With a focus on quality and attention to detail, you will work closely with the director and other team members to deliver a polished project that meets broadcasting standards.

To excel in this role, you will require a proven track record of experience as a Video Editor and Animator, combined with a strong understanding of digital technology and popular editing software packages. In addition to technical skills, you will also need to possess creative thinking and storytelling skills, as well as the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions. A BS degree in film studies, cinematography, or a related field is also highly desirable.
