Senior Systems Analyst

About the Role

Seeking a senior systems analyst specializing in IBM Planning Analytics/TM1, with a functional understanding of finance budgeting and forecasting.

This role involves advanced development, troubleshooting, and implementation of TM1 solutions to meet complex business requirements. The person will be part of the finance planning and reporting team, working closely with their manager to deliver TM1 planning and budgeting roadmaps for global stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Design and Development: Design and develop IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) solutions following standards, including writing logical, complex, efficient, and well-documented code for TM1 rules and Turbo Integrator processes. Knowledge of Python and TM1py libraries is beneficial.
  2. Business Requirements: Write business requirement specifications, define effort levels for projects/enhancements, and coordinate system tests to ensure solutions meet business needs.
  3. Data Management: Work with source data using SQL, understanding data structures and writing complex queries.
  4. Cloud Technologies: Familiarity with cloud technologies, especially AWS and Databricks, would be advantageous.
  5. Reporting and Dashboards: Experience with client reporting and dashboard tools like Tableau, PA Web, and PAFE.
  6. ETL Processes: Understand ETL processes and data manipulation.
  7. System Support: Provide ongoing system support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution to ensure system performance and reliability.
  8. Communication: Communicate complex information clearly using verbal and written skills.
  9. Problem-Solving: Apply deductive and inductive problem-solving skills, often with incomplete information.
  10. Innovation: Exercise creativity to innovate processes, procedures, or work products within guidelines.
Requirements
  • Minimum Qualifications: 3+ years of IT-relevant work experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 5+ years of IT-relevant work experience without a Bachelor's degree.
  • Preferred Qualifications: 8-10 years of experience in designing, modeling, and developing enterprise performance management (EPM) applications using IBM Planning Analytics (TM1).
Educational Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in information science, computer science, business, or equivalent work experience.
