Job Title: E-Commerce Solution Architect

Overview

We are seeking an experienced E-Commerce Solution Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and implementing enterprise-wide e-commerce solutions using expertise in digital and e-commerce technologies.

The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing the existing architecture and making recommendations for improvements, as well as improving cycle time and providing faster services to the frontend from third-party systems.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement e-commerce solutions using software design methodology standards.
  • Collaborate with Solution Architects to establish a technical vision for the project based on business requirements.
  • Contribute to the organization in designing and developing frameworks, tools, and accelerators that enhance the ability of technology team members and the organization.
  • Provide development estimates for large feature sets to Architects and Project Managers to build Work Breakdown Structures and project plans.
  • Maintain and monitor technical architecture structures from business capability to applications to data, establishing technical architecture compliance.
Requirements
  • 12+ years of experience in overall application engineering and technology.
  • Good knowledge of enterprise-level technical solutions within the retail and e-commerce landscape is a must.
  • 10+ years of work experience as a senior technology engineer and/or architecture is crucial.
  • Relevant experience in leading e-commerce systems (Salesforce Commerce Cloud/Demandware, Kibo Commerce, Shopify, Commercetools, Sitecore Commerce, Episerver Commerce, etc.).
  • Should be technology agnostic and must have worked on different applications.
  • Expertise in e-commerce subsystems and all business models (B2B/B2C/D2D) is a must.
  • Experience in developing business solutions using Salesforce Commerce Cloud (Demandware).
  • Advanced knowledge of e-commerce strategies and commerce operations management is desirable.
  • Should be hands-on with omnichannel Order Management Systems and analytics platforms.
  • Expertise in RESTful web services, Ajax-driven client applications, and Advanced JavaScript architectures is crucial.
  • Must have a strong background in World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), accessibility guidelines, model view controller (MVC), agile development, and tools.
  • Expertise in Pipelines, JavaScript controllers, ISML templates, and real-time data exchange using web services.
  • Hands-on experience in integrating custom services into SFCC. Good exposure to payment, tax, and operation management suite (OMS) integrations.
  • Good understanding of Business Manager and configuring jobs.
  • Exposure to technical reports and understanding of Demandware limitations, such as quotas.
  • Proficient in Demandware foundational concepts with good knowledge of SiteGenesis, UX Studio, content assets or slots, and Demandware Catalog.
