Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for independently exploring the market for identifying, evaluating, and onboarding new vendors and suppliers, primarily in the construction industry.

The role focuses on enhancing the vendor pool, validating market rates, negotiating with business owners, and sourcing materials directly from manufacturers or primary distributors to secure favorable pricing and terms for the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Exploration & Vendor Development:
    • Independently visit local and regional markets to identify new suppliers and vendors for construction materials and services.
    • Assess vendor capabilities, business credibility, and supply capacity.
    • Continuously expand and diversify the organization's vendor base.

Rate Collection & Validation:

  • Obtain and validate comparative market quotations for construction-related items and services.
  • Ensure pricing aligns with quality benchmarks and project specifications.
  • Maintain updated rate lists and procurement benchmarks.

Supplier Engagement & Negotiation:

  • Meet with business owners, suppliers, and manufacturers to establish long-term procurement relationships.
  • Negotiate for best prices, payment terms, and delivery conditions directly from source vendors.
  • Coordinate sample evaluation and technical review with relevant project teams.

Reporting & Documentation:

  • Prepare reports on market visits, vendor meetings, rate updates, and sourcing activities.
  • Document all interactions, negotiations, and key vendor information.
  • Maintain database of qualified suppliers with categorization by item, region, and specialization.
