Job Title: Network Infrastructure Specialist

The role of a Junior Network Engineer is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our company's network infrastructure. As a key member of the network team, this individual will be responsible for assisting in all routine network operations as guided or assigned by the shift-in charge and above.

Responsibilities:
  • Routine network maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaboration with the Network Head to design and implement functional company networks.
  • Installation and configuration of networking hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Creation and implementation of network security measures to protect against potential threats.
  • Coordination with Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to ensure seamless connectivity.
  • Regular network performance testing to identify areas for improvement.
  • Escalated network support issue resolution.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Certifications/Training in CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent.
  • A minimum of one year of experience as a junior networking engineer.
  • Advanced knowledge of network operating systems, including Cisco Switches, Routers, Firewalls, Sophos Firewall, Access points, and Wireless LAN controllers.
  • Hands-on experience in deploying NMS tools such as PRTG, Cisco Prime, SolarWind.
  • Familiarity with communication, routing protocols, and network analysis tools.
  • Proficiency in network best practices and physical layer understanding.
  • Good hands-on experience in Mac terminal.
  • Excellent leadership and mentoring skills.
  • High-level problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
