Promoting Student Success
The Associate Director, Student Experience plays a pivotal role in promoting student success by developing and implementing student experience policies and strategies.
This involves providing leadership and vision to enhance the quality of students' experience, ensuring they are provided with opportunities for social, cultural, and recreational life, and promoting community building and leadership development.
You will work closely with stakeholders across the university to understand student experiences through feedback channels and data analysis. Effective communication will be essential in keeping students informed and relevant stakeholders notified of student experiences through an up-to-date communications strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing student experience policies and strategies
- Providing leadership and vision to enhance quality of students' experience
- Ensuring students are provided with opportunities for social, cultural, and recreational life
- Working closely with stakeholders to understand student experiences
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement
This role requires a proactive approach, with enthusiasm and ability to work with and motivate others in a team. You will be responsible for managing a high-volume workload, requiring speed and accuracy. A sensitive and tactful approach to working with diverse student communities is essential.
Eligibility Criteria / Requirements:
- A Master's degree with knowledge of higher education sector administration
- IT skills, including Microsoft Office, Excel, Databases, and Outlook
- Ability to demonstrate commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusivity
- Sensitive and tactful approach to working with diverse student communities
- Excellent communication skills for interaction with students, departments, and external organisations
- Enthusiasm and ability to work with and motivate others in a team
