We are seeking a skilled QA Automation Engineer to join our team and contribute to the enhancement of our product quality and reliability. As a key member of our software development team, you will work closely with product and development teams to comprehend their testing requirements, create test plans and test cases, and determine the optimal balance between automated and manual testing approaches. Your primary objective will be to expand our test automation capabilities, while also assisting in executing test plans, documenting bug reports, and ensuring confidence in the code released by our teams. This role will entail a substantial hands-on contribution in designing, developing, and maintaining automation scripts and processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To define and implement test automation tools and strategies that enhance the quality and dependability of products.
  • To participate as an integral member of an agile software development team, promoting quality throughout the entire software development lifecycle via automated tests.
  • To elevate the overall team by promoting and exemplifying sound development practices, such as design sessions, code reviews, and documentation.
  • To maintain standards for application testing, issue tracking, and issue reporting.
  • To collaborate with the testing and development teams to understand the software requirements and identify suitable test scenarios.
  • To analyze test results and provide feedback on the quality of software.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  1. A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Automation testing.
  2. Proficiency with open-source automation tools, such as Robot Framework, Appium, Cypress, Selenium, or other appropriate test automation frameworks.
  3. Ability to efficiently read software design and code to develop comprehensive test cases and anticipate potential faults.
  4. Proficiency writing and maintaining automation code, libraries, and frameworks in Python and/or JavaScript.
  5. Capability to troubleshoot software issues in order to identify the source, whether it be in the test or application code, or a specific component.
  6. Detail-oriented with strong organization and structured thinking capabilities.
  7. Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
  8. Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
  9. Knowledge of performance testing and security testing.
