Delivering a turn-key Data as a Service (DaaS) platform on Azure Databricks technology, you'll enable customers to run analytical workloads without affecting operational systems.

We expect proven expertise with installing and scaling Databricks clusters. As a Senior System Engineer, you'll contribute to building an enterprise-grade data platform from scratch and maintaining it.

You'll lay the foundation of a secure, robust data platform and related processes. Following industry standards ensures stability, scalability, and cost efficiency.

You will be part of a cross-functional team building and maintaining the Data as a Service platform. Your day-to-day job will consist of building and maintaining performance and reliability of the data platform.

As a Senior System Engineer, you design things but also build and maintain them. You'll maintain Infrastructure as Code for the Data as a Service platform either by contributing PRs or reviewing others' work.

You'll participate in refining architecture as decisions are taken by the team. For customers in production, you'll be on call, focusing on automating responses to events.

Your growth path allows you to grow from Senior System Engineer to Principal System Engineer, driving cross-team initiatives and taking on more responsibilities in product design.

  • At least 4 years experience with Databricks infrastructure: maintaining, scaling, performance tuning, cost optimization;
  • Experience with multi-tenant installation in Databricks is beneficial;
  • Experience building, scaling, and maintaining data platforms on public cloud (preferably Azure);
  • Experience with monitoring and metrics: Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor;
  • You have experience in programming and automation;
  • You are experienced with cloud environments and using desired state configuration to manage them (Terraform/OpenTofu preferred);
  • At least 5 years in a similar role running workloads on public cloud;
  • Knowledge of GitOps / ArgoCD is a plus;
  • You're not afraid to use CLI-based tooling and have experience in maintaining and troubleshooting Linux-based operating systems;
  • You don't want to just report problems but want to fix them;
  • You have strong communication skills.
