We are seeking a highly skilled Research Instructor to join our Department of Medicine. The successful candidate will conduct research in non-communicable diseases (NCDs), specifically cardiovascular diseases and stroke, under a grant-funded project.
The Department of Medicine comprises multiple sections, including Cardiology, Dermatology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Internal Medicine, Infectious Diseases, Nephrology, Neurology, and Pulmonary & Critical Care. With over 70 full-time faculty members, the department is committed to undergraduate and postgraduate education, as well as research.
The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to practice data science in the NCD health domain and hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent. Experience working at an academic institution or university as a research faculty member is advantageous. Excellent communication skills, ability to work in teams, and strong research ethics are essential.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute a research project focusing on cardiovascular disease, stroke, or their risk factors.
- Publish two manuscripts as a first author within a two-year tenure.
- Disseminate research findings to wider audiences through various channels.
- Participate in national and international research conferences and symposiums.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent with a strong commitment to practice data science in the NCD health domain.
- Experience working at an academic institution or university as a research faculty member is advantageous.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and commitment to learning, growth, and self-development.
- Ability to work in teams, integrity, and strong research ethics.
- Track record of demonstrated scholarship through research and publication.
