We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Instructor (Biostatistician) to join our team in the Department of Biological and Biomedical Sciences. The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, or a related quantitative field, and at least two years of relevant experience.
The ideal candidate will provide academic and research support to faculty and staff, design research study protocols, and develop assessments and tutorials for the MPhil in Biological and Biomedical Sciences program.
You will be responsible for statistical data analysis support for manuscript and grant writing, actively contributing to the departmental Research Aims Methodology clinic, and participating in teaching and assessment in graduate programs.
Responsibilities:- Developing courses in biostatistics and contributing to curriculum design and updating.
- Supervising and coordinating MPhil and PhD projects within the area of expertise.
- Engaging in scholarly activities and demonstrating ability to contribute towards building successful research projects.
- A minimum of Master's degree in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, or a related quantitative field from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge of statistical principles relevant in medical research.
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and statistical skills.
- Proficiency in R software and SPSS software.
- Good research project organizational skills with the ability to work with biomedical sciences researchers.
- Demonstrated ability to have contributed towards the building of successful research projects.
- Proven ability to develop graduate teaching courses in biostatistics.
