Job Title: Android Software Development Manager

About the Role

This is a leadership opportunity for an experienced professional to oversee the entire Android software development lifecycle, managing multiple projects simultaneously.

  • This includes supervising team leads of development, QA, design, and business analysis, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Another key responsibility will be communicating project status, risks, and issues verbally and in writing, making recommendations as needed.
  • The successful candidate will also allocate resources effectively within programmes to meet work fluctuations, time constraints, and budget requirements during the delivery process.
Responsibilities
  1. Project Management: Manage the full Android software development life cycle, overseeing multiple projects simultaneously.
  2. Team Supervision: Supervise Team Leads of Development, QA, Designing, and Business Analysis, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  3. Communication: Communicate project status, risks, and issues verbally and in writing, making recommendations to the Project Manager as needed.
  4. Resource Allocation: Allocate resources effectively within programmes to meet work fluctuations, time constraints, and budget requirements during the delivery process.
  5. Technical Guidance: Serve as a subject matter expert, providing technical and analytical guidance to programme and project teams.
  6. Workstream Delivery: Deliver project/programme workstream activities and assigned work packages within the wider context.
  7. Support: Support the Project Manager as required.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Experience: At least two years of experience in a related field.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate teams.
  • Technical Skills: Complete command over Android and Java technologies, along with related expertise.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing, to engage with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to work under pressure in complex environments, delivering work with conflicting priorities to tight deadlines.
  • Delivery Experience: Significant experience in delivering packages of work within projects.
