Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Systems Engineer to design, deploy and manage our hybrid infrastructure in Microsoft Azure. This role involves overseeing the entire lifecycle of cloud-based systems, from initial deployment to ongoing maintenance and optimization.


Key Responsibilities
  • Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and manage virtual machines, networking, storage, security, and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solutions on Microsoft Azure.
  • DNS and Domain Administration: Maintain and optimize DNS and domain configurations, including Cloudflare, registrar settings, and SSL certificates.
  • Server Administration: Administer Windows Server and Linux environments, including patching, automation, and performance tuning.
  • Web Server Configuration: Configure and manage web server platforms: IIS, Apache, and NGINX.
  • Identity and Access Management: Manage Active Directory, Group Policies, and domain trusts in a hybrid identity environment.
  • Database Administration: Administer SQL Server instances and assist with performance tuning, backups, and patching.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Troubleshoot issues related to website hosting, load balancers, and high-availability deployments.
  • Scripting and Automation: Develop and maintain scripts using PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automation, monitoring, and provisioning tasks.
  • DevOps and Infrastructure-as-Code: Participate in DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code (Bicep, ARM templates, etc.) where applicable.
  • Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor system health, logs, and alerts to ensure high availability and security.

Requirements
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure IaaS/PaaS services.
  • Strong knowledge of DNS, domain registration, and Cloudflare CDN and security services.
  • Proven experience administering both Windows Server and Linux systems in production environments.
  • Expertise in managing web servers (IIS, Apache, NGINX) in load-balanced and secure configurations.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and hybrid identity solutions.
  • Working knowledge of SQL Server administration and troubleshooting.
  • Scripting experience (PowerShell, Bash, or Python) for automation and operational tasks.
  • Solid understanding of website hosting infrastructure, load balancers, and high-availability architecture.
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and Kubernetes.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools, platforms, and technologies.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.).
