We are seeking a senior data owner associate to join our team in driving innovation and enhancing customer experiences through cutting-edge data solutions.

This role plays a crucial part in delivering new data solutions to fuel AI & ML capabilities, ensuring data is well-documented, high-quality, and secure, supporting business objectives and advanced analytics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, collect, and extract data from various sources to support business needs.
  • Cleanse, wrangle, and transform data for analysis to provide actionable insights.
  • Develop and maintain efficient data pipelines using AWS services to optimize data flow and quality.
  • Implement data governance policies with the Data Quality team to ensure compliance and consistency.
  • Enforce best practices for data validation and error handling to minimize risks and maximize efficiency.
  • Monitor and improve data quality across systems to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Optimize data storage and retrieval strategies for cost efficiency to reduce unnecessary expenses.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of industry experience in a data-related field with expertise in building data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data processing tools like Apache Spark to handle large datasets.
  • Strong experience with AWS services such as S3, Glue, and Redshift to manage data storage and processing.
  • Subject matter expertise in business or product data to provide valuable insights and recommendations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor's degree required in a relevant field such as computer science, mathematics, or statistics.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with Data Observability/Data Governance tools to monitor and improve data quality.
  • Technical knowledge of Data warehouses like Snowflake and Teradata to design and implement scalable data architectures.
  • Knowledge of payments products or retail banking to understand industry-specific challenges and opportunities.
  • Preferably skilled in Cloud technologies like AWS to leverage cloud-based services and platforms.
