Automation Tester Role

We are looking for a skilled Automation Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing, developing, and executing test scenarios and test cases for APIs.

The successful candidate will establish testing as an integral part of the development process within cross-functional teams and develop maintainable automated checks in collaboration with our development teams.

The role involves designing web, mobile, or desktop applications across different platform offerings, suggesting improvements in testing tools for better test coverage during automation, detecting and reporting defects, and close follow-up to ensure closure of issues.

Assess and bring continuous improvements to the overall quality, work closely with the development team to debug any issue, participate in scrum calls with customers and internal stakeholders, contribute to proofs-of-concept on the upcoming toolsets, and conduct root-cause analysis for the production defects and improve test assets.

Skill Requirements:

  • Expertise in Automation Testing for API and Web
  • Hands-on experience in automation testing using Java and Selenium
  • Thorough understanding of software development lifecycle models, test methodologies, requirement comprehension, test planning, test preparation, test bed setup, test execution, test report generation, risk mitigation, effort estimation, and schedule tracking with sign-off accompanying release notes
  • Good knowledge of behavior-driven development frameworks like Cucumber
  • Hands-on experience in API automation tools like REST Assured is desirable
  • Knowledge of Sprint Planning, Sprint Execution, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retro
  • Experience with CI with Jenkins or other tools is desirable
  • Prior work experience in Maven and GIT would be an advantage
  • Must have strong analytical skills and should be detail-oriented
  • Good communication, interpersonal, presentation, and problem-solving skills are essential
