Lead Operations Manager

The ideal candidate for this position will have extensive experience in managing operations and leading teams. They will be responsible for providing strategic direction, implementing operational controls, and ensuring the effective utilization of resources.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Building and developing operations for natural gas distribution in assigned service areas.
  • Managing and providing operational expertise to the workforce to meet customer performance expectations.
  • Serving as a business team manager for natural gas distribution and undertaking responsibility for positive client, subcontractor, vendor, and industry relationships.
  • Implementing safety programs and ensuring safe work practices throughout the area of responsibility.
  • Providing direct leadership to designated management, including coaching and mentoring employees to achieve high levels of performance.
  • Overseeing multiple construction projects, including job site visits to ensure project completion according to design, budget, and schedule.
  • Ensuring senior management is proactively informed about potential problems, work difficulties, employee issues, and customer issues.
  • Acting as the point of escalation for complex problems, assisting in assessing root cause and resolving issues.
  • Maintaining the approved organization structure and appropriate staffing for each position to ensure the ability of the SBU to carry out all required functions.
  • Arranging for the preparation of budgets and periodic reports with assistance from the accounts department.
  • Using the capabilities of the financial controller and his team for carrying out necessary accounting functions and being responsible for profit and loss for the SBU, budgeting, and analysis of variances from budgets.
  • Reviewing the performance of the natural gas distribution network and ensuring safe, smooth, and uninterrupted supply of natural gas from town border stations and pressure regulation stations to domestic, industrial, and commercial consumers according to specific load requirements.
  • Exploring and determining feasible options for system expansion within available budget and organizational goals for service delivery to customer groups while balancing public aspirations with economic and financial goals.
  • Building capabilities and motivation of a business team to improve activities of sales, billing, recovery, and customer relations in each region of the SBU to effectively meet customer requirements at optimal cost.
  • Ensuring implementation of initiatives to minimize unaccounted-for gas through the approved UFG plan, focusing on targets for key monitoring indicators, including network segmentation, system rehabilitation, leak detection, repairs, meter replacement or repair, vigilance surveys, and theft detection.
  • Implementing the company's vision, culture, and performance standards and ensuring adoption at all levels of the division.
  • Agreeing and setting performance targets and taking responsibility for overall safety, licensing, quality, schedule compliance, and working within project budgets.
  • Acting as a mentor for key personnel within the division for execution of duties and ensuring improvement in skills for effective succession planning.
