About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Specialist to join our team. This role will play a critical part in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes, including financial management, reporting, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Planning: Assist in the preparation of business plans and budgets, analyzing financial data to identify key trends and areas for improvement.
  • Financial Management: Oversee the monthly closing process, including reconciliations and analysis of related accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare high-quality financial statements, complying with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), to support informed decision-making.
  • CFO Support: Provide administrative support to the Chief Financial Officer, coordinating Board and committee meetings, and preparing relevant materials.
  • Audit Liaison: Collaborate with external auditors to ensure a seamless audit process, fostering strong relationships with chartered accountancy firms.
  • Internal Controls: Develop and maintain robust internal controls over financial reporting, ensuring the integrity of our financial data.
  • Compliance: Ensure that financial practices comply with all statutory legislation and regulations, minimizing risk and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow closely, making strategic decisions to optimize working capital and drive business growth.
  • Payroll Processing: Process payroll efficiently and accurately, ensuring timely payment of salaries and related taxes.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct thorough financial analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Tax Matters: Manage tax-related matters, including withholding deductions and timely payments, ensuring adherence to tax laws and regulations.
  • Tax Consultancy: Collaborate with tax consultancy firms on income tax returns, audits, and other tax-related matters.
  • Financial Presentations: Create informative financial presentations to support key management decision-making, using data visualization techniques to convey complex financial information effectively.
  • Banking Services: Handle banking tasks, including cheque deposits, pay order issuance, and bank account openings, ensuring efficient transaction processing.
  • Ad-hoc Assignments: Perform additional assignments as required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Professional Qualification: Part-qualified ACCA/CA/CPA/ICMA or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience: Minimum four years of experience in financial operations, preferably in non-banking financial institutions.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in computer applications, especially MS Excel, with advanced skills in financial software and systems.
  • Communication Skills: Strong English communication skills (written and spoken), with excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
