Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Project Lead to oversee the development of our software products. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating resources, processes, and projects to deliver high-quality software releases.

Main Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with team members to plan and execute projects in PHP and open source applications, ensuring that teams have appropriate product and technical specifications, direction, and resources.
  • Track and report project status across various teams, acting as a gateway for assigning work to appropriate teams while defining project scope.
  • Demonstrate leadership abilities in client meetings, deploying software enhancements and fixes according to release schedules.
  • Develop a software plan that meets future commercial client needs on technical challenges and industry demands.
  • Serve as technical lead in all client meetings implementing our software products.
  • Evolving existing software system applications and architecture in various areas as needed.
  • Resolve technical and human resources issues, track and approve vacation and personal days for employees within their teams, and monitor individual employees' performance.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to coach, motivate, and lead team members to optimal performance levels and career development.
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Familiarity with coding languages such as VB, .NET, ASP, PHP, etc.
  • Understanding of databases and DBMSs like MySQL, MSSQL Server 2002 AND SERIES, MS Access, etc.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of management/leadership experience in a software development organization required.
  • At least 1 year of experience working through the design, development, and release cycle delivering software to market.
  • Large/enterprise application development experience is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the software development cycle.
  • Strong leadership, project management skills, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with computer programming using Visual Basic or other open-source web application frameworks.
  • Project management experience is desired.
  • Able to excel in idea generation, evaluation, and prioritization, customer and partner engagement, cross-functional technical program management, and building/growing great engineering teams.
  • Experience with Crystal Reporting is beneficial.
  • Experience in developing software and hardware recovery automation tools is a strong plus.
  • A record of successful delivery of software systems as an individual, team leader, and/or development manager.
  • A willingness to dive into software environments and technical issues as part of maintaining the necessary skills to manage and advocate products and projects.
  • An entrepreneurial spirit with strong product and program management skills.
  • Ability to work with technical and non-technical business owners to achieve goals.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
