We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Litigation Coordinator to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a Law Graduate with a strong background in litigation to coordinate legal matters, provide expert support to the Legal department, and work closely with external counsel.

The ideal candidate will have at least 01 year of relevant experience and 06 months bar enrollment. They will be responsible for coordinating with various departments, preparing legal documents, providing feedback on drafts, and representing the company's interests in court hearings.

About the Role

This is a dynamic role that requires excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, prioritize tasks effectively, and maintain accurate records.

The Litigation Coordinator will assist in the preparation and execution of 'Vakalatnama' for appointment of legal counsel, coordinate with external counsel to initiate and follow up on lawsuits, and seek feedback and clarification from relevant departments as required.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate Legal Matters: Assist in the coordination of legal documents, drafts, and supporting papers for submission to external counsel.
  • Provide Expert Support: Offer expert support to the Legal department on litigation-related matters, including research, analysis, and advice.
  • Represent Company Interests: Represent the company's interests in court hearings and arbitrations, ensuring that SSGC's viewpoint is correctly presented and its interests safeguarded.
  • Prepare and Execute Documents: Assist in the preparation and execution of 'Vakalatnama' for appointment of legal counsel.
  • Coordinate with External Counsel: Coordinate with external counsel to initiate and follow up on lawsuits filed by the company or in suits where the company is a respondent.
  • Seek Feedback and Clarification: Seek feedback and clarification from relevant departments as required to determine company's stance.
  • Vet Legal Documents: Assist in vetting the referred legal documents and drafts, providing para-wise input in view of adequate risk analysis and impact on SSGC.
  • Generate Periodic Reports: Generate periodic reports for the management on potential legal and litigation risks.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Law degree with at least 01 year of relevant experience.
  • 06 months bar enrollment.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Prioritization and time management skills.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
