Education Support Professional

As an Education Support Professional, you will play a vital role in guiding and mentoring students through counseling and mentoring sessions. You will also be responsible for assisting students who are eligible for scholarships to pursue higher education, collecting their applications, processing them, and tracking progress.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and have a strong understanding of the challenges faced by marginalized communities in Pakistan. They should also be knowledgeable about various degree programs and professional fields in Pakistan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver career counseling workshops with students and graduates.
  • Develop and maintain profiles of individual students based on their ambitions and align them with potential universities and programs.
  • Create a database of institutes offering higher education in operational areas.
  • Ensure students are aware of admission criteria, dates, etc. of their potential universities.
  • Support and guide students in filling application forms and admission procedures.
  • Conduct outreach to motivate DIL graduates and communities for higher education through scholarships.
  • Process and verify scholarship applications while ensuring all protocols are followed as per policy.
  • Ensure each student receives adequate mentorship for continuing education.
  • Connect and follow-up with DIL graduates to enable them to reach their career goals.

Requirements:

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in Social Science or any other relevant field.
  • Must have knowledge and understanding of challenges in marginalized areas of Pakistan.
  • Must be knowledgeable about various degree programs and professional fields in Pakistan.
  • Certification, course, or prior knowledge of career counseling is a plus.
  • Must have experience in teaching or conducting trainings.
  • Must know how to generate reports and presentations on different mediums (PowerPoint, Canva).
