Job Description:

The primary objective of this position is to serve as a fence estimator, responsible for creating detailed cost estimates and pricing plans for residential and commercial clients. This role involves collaborating with the team to develop bids and proposals, communicating effectively with clients and team members, maintaining accurate records of estimates, and staying up-to-date on industry trends and building codes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of project plans and specifications to determine material and labor requirements for custom fencing projects.
  • Ensure adherence to established procedures for accurate cost estimates.
  • Collaborate closely with crew leads, team members, and stakeholders to develop comprehensive bids and proposals.
  • Engage in effective communication with clients and team members to gather information and address questions related to the estimate.
  • Maintain meticulous and complete records of estimates and bid proposals.
  • Stay abreast of industry developments and changes in building codes.
Qualifications:
  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.
  • Accumulate at least 5 years of experience as a construction estimator, preferably with direct experience in the fencing industry.
  • Develop a strong understanding of construction materials and methods, specifically pertaining to fencing projects.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Workspace.
  • Exhibit exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Display strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Be detail-oriented and organized.
