Job Title: Senior Linux System Engineer

We are seeking a seasoned professional with extensive experience in Linux system administration to join our team.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Escalation & Troubleshooting: Our ideal candidate will act as the final escalation point for complex server, hosting, and network-related issues. They will diagnose and resolve critical system failures, network outages, and performance issues.
  • Linux Server Administration: The successful candidate will manage, optimize, and secure Linux-based hosting environments. They will administer and fine-tune web servers, databases, and caching layers. Additionally, they will build and deploy servers from the ground up, ensuring optimal configurations for performance and security.
  • Automation & DevOps: Our ideal candidate will develop and maintain automation scripts for server provisioning and configuration management. They will utilize tools like Ansible, Terraform, or similar tools for automating infrastructure deployments.
  • Cloud & Virtualization: The successful candidate will deploy and manage KVM, OpenStack, VMware, or containerized environments. They will support cloud-based hosting solutions.
  • Security & Compliance: Our ideal candidate will implement security best practices, including firewall rules, SELinux/AppArmor, IDS/IPS. They will perform vulnerability assessments and patch management to secure customer environments.
  • Monitoring & Incident Response: The successful candidate will set up and manage monitoring tools. They will participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for urgent system issues.
  • Collaboration & Mentoring: Our ideal candidate will work closely with teams to ensure smooth operations. They will provide guidance and mentorship to support engineers.
Requirements:
  • At least 11 years of hands-on Linux system administration experience in a web hosting or cloud environment.
  • At least 7 years of experience in a Senior position or Level 3 Engineer role.
  • MUST be a KVM and Linux expert with a minimum of 7+ yrs of experience.
  • Expert knowledge of web hosting technologies (cPanel, Plesk, WHM, LAMP/LEMP stacks).
  • Strong scripting ability in Perl, Bash, and Python.
  • Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
  • Networking expertise – understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, Firewalls, Load Balancing.
  • Familiarity with RAID, SAN, NAS, and distributed storage systems.
  • Experience working in a 24/7 production environment with on-call duties.
  • Ability to build and configure servers from the ground up.
  • Certifications such as RHCE, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, or Kubernetes (CKA) are a plus.
  • Good English Communication Skill
