About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Unreal Engine 4 developer to lead custom game development, including augmented and virtual reality projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with programmers and the production team to drive programming efforts.
  • Create game systems and features using UE4's framework in C++ and Blueprint, incorporating external direction and team feedback into design decisions.
  • Guide artists and Blueprint developers to produce high-quality work that adheres to game system design while maintaining style and optimization standards.
  • Modify the UE4 source as necessary, understanding how changes will affect future engine versions.
  • Prioritize bugs effectively.
  • Apply problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Develop new tools and systems for interactive real-time production using emerging technologies.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with Unreal Engine.
  • Proficiency in C++ within Unreal Engine.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Able to work on-site; no remote applicants.
  • Working knowledge of content creation tools and processes involved in real-time 3D asset production.
  • Design, implement, and maintain systems and tools to support gameplay (animation, locomotion, navigation, combat, etc.).
  • Collaborate with designers, artists, and other programmers as needed.
  • Produce clear, maintainable, portable, and highly functional code.
  • Profile and optimize to remove bottlenecks.
  • Test and document code produced.
  • Support tools and technology as needed for specific project requirements.
  • Plus: Interest in Oculus Rift and other Virtual Reality tools.
