Our team is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Healthcare Coordinator to support healthcare providers with administrative and clinical tasks remotely.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage appointment scheduling, cancellations, and rescheduling for patients effectively.
  • Verify patient insurance and eligibility prior to appointments, ensuring seamless care delivery.
  • Conduct thorough patient intake calls, collect medical history, and document information accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Handle inbound and outbound patient communications, including calls, texts, and emails, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Assist in prescription refills and prior authorizations under physician supervision, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate referrals, lab tests, imaging, and follow-up care, streamlining the patient journey.
  • Prepare and update patient charts, progress notes, and documentation before provider visits, ensuring timely and accurate information.
  • Support telehealth sessions by guiding patients with setup and troubleshooting basic technical issues, promoting seamless virtual care experiences.
  • Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA guidelines and internal confidentiality policies, upholding the highest standards of data protection.
  • Collaborate closely with billing, credentialing, and clinical teams as needed, fostering effective communication and teamwork.

The ideal candidate will possess experience in a medical office or virtual care environment and be well-versed in EHR systems, scheduling, patient coordination, and HIPAA compliance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare or a related field; associate's degree considered if supplemented by relevant certifications.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical office, clinical setting, or virtual healthcare environment, with a proven track record of success.
  • Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as eClinicalWorks, Athena, Kareo, or similar, ensuring seamless data management.
  • Strong English communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to effectively communicate complex medical information to patients and healthcare providers.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA guidelines and patient confidentiality requirements, upholding the highest standards of data protection.
  • Tech-savvy with knowledge of tools like Google Workspace, Zoom, Slack, and Microsoft Office, ensuring adaptability in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.
